Disposable breathing circuit engineered for mechanical anaesthesia and ventilation. Made from flexible corrugated medical-grade PVC and supplied in several configurations: dual-limb adult (with or without a water trap), single-limb adult and paediatric. The standard 22 mm tapered connectors are compatible with most anaesthesia machines and ICU ventilators on the market. Latex-free, ethylene-oxide (EO) sterilised and intended for single use, so it is replaced between patients to keep the gas pathway clean and lower the risk of cross-contamination and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).

How many times can the XY466 breathing circuit be used?
It is single use (disposable). It must not be reused or re-sterilised — a single-use circuit is replaced between patients to protect patient safety and keep the breathing pathway sterile.
Is it compatible with all mechanical ventilators and anaesthesia machines?
Yes. The XY466 uses standard 22 mm tapered connectors, so it fits most anaesthesia workstations and ICU ventilators on the market. For unusual machine ports, send us the model when you request a quote and we will confirm the fit.
When should I choose the version with a water trap?
The water trap collects condensate so it cannot run back toward the patient during long cases or prolonged ventilation. Choose the dual-limb with water trap for extended surgery and ICU ventilation; the version without a trap is fine for short procedures.
Is a paediatric version available?
Yes. We supply adult, paediatric and infant configurations with different limb diameters and lengths. Specify the patient population when you order.

Edaochi Medical's disposable breathing circuit (SKU XY466) is the workhorse consumable that links an anaesthesia machine or ventilator to the patient's airway, carrying anaesthetic gases, oxygen and air to and from the lungs. It is a factory-direct, single-use circuit in corrugated medical-grade PVC, supplied in the configurations hospitals actually order.
Single-limb vs dual-limb
- Dual-limb circuits separate the inspiratory and expiratory paths, which reduces dead space and rebreathing — the usual choice for adult anaesthesia and ICU ventilation. - Single-limb circuits use one tube and are lighter and simpler for shorter cases and transport. - A water-trap version collects condensate on long cases so it cannot reach the patient. Compatibility
Standard 22 mm tapered connectors fit the vast majority of anaesthesia workstations and ICU ventilators (Dräger, GE/Datex-Ohmeda, Mindray, Hamilton and others). Paediatric and infant builds use smaller limb diameters and lengths.
Infection control and change frequency
Because the circuit is single use, it is changed between patients. Pairing the circuit with an HME or HMEF filter protects the circuit and conditions inspired gas.
