Frequently Asked Questions — Nasal Oxygen Cannula with Humidifier Bottle
Is the XY421 humidifier bottle compatible with hospital wall flowmeters?
Yes. The bottle connector is standard and compatible with NIST/DISS wall oxygen flowmeters and with home concentrators; a 22 mm adapter is included.
At what oxygen flow should I use a humidified nasal cannula?
Bubble humidification is useful above 2 L/min to prevent nasal drying. Below 2 L/min a humidifier is not essential, but it is still helpful for prolonged therapy or dry climates.
How long can the cannula and bottle stay in use on the same patient?
The cannula is single-patient use and can stay up to 48 hours if clean and intact. Fill the bottle with sterile water and replace it every 24 hours to avoid microbial contamination.

Full Description — Nasal Oxygen Cannula with Humidifier Bottle
Edaochi Medical's nasal cannula with humidifier bottle (SKU XY421) bundles the cannula with a 250 ml bubble-humidifier so dry medical oxygen does not dry out the patient's nose.
Why humidify
Wall and concentrator oxygen is dry. Above ~2 L/min, or over long courses, that dryness causes nasal irritation, crusting and reduced tolerance. A bubble bottle re-introduces moisture before the gas reaches the patient. Fill with sterile water and change the bottle every 24 h. For lower flows or short courses, a plain standard cannula is enough; for skin-sensitive patients consider the silicone cannula.
Compatibility & dosing
Standard wall-flowmeter connection (22 mm adapter included) and home concentrator compatible; 1–6 L/min. See our nasal cannula oxygen therapy care guide and FiO₂ flow chart.
