Frequently Asked Questions — Disposable Urinary Drainage Bag 2000ml
When do you use a 2000 ml bed bag versus a leg bag?
The 2000 ml bed bag is for the bed-bound or hospitalised patient and for night use, hung below bladder level. The leg bag is for the ambulatory patient during the day. Many patients alternate both, keeping the system closed. See our bed bag vs leg bag guide.
Why does the anti-reflux valve matter?
It stops urine in the bag from flowing back toward the bladder, which is a key measure to reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI). Keeping the bag below bladder level and the system closed reinforces this.
Can you sample urine without opening the system?
Yes. The needle/sampling port lets you draw a urine sample without disconnecting the catheter from the bag, preserving the closed system. The bottom drain tap empties the bag without breaking the connection either.

Full Description — Disposable Urinary Drainage Bag 2000ml
Edaochi Medical's 2000 ml urinary drainage bag is the bed/night side of a closed urinary drainage system. Its high capacity suits the bed-bound or hospitalised patient and overnight use, while the integrated anti-reflux valve and closed sampling port support infection-control protocols.
Built for the closed system
The anti-reflux valve prevents backflow toward the bladder, and the needle sampling port lets staff draw a urine sample without opening the line — both central to reducing catheter-associated UTI (CAUTI). The clear medical PVC allows direct volume reading for urine-output monitoring, and the 1.2 m tube plus bed/wheelchair hanger keep the bag below bladder level.
Part of the full system
Pair it with our PVC Foley catheter and, for daytime mobility, the urinary leg bag. To choose between bed and leg bag, see the urinary drainage bag: bed vs leg guide; for change frequency and care, how often to change the Foley catheter.
