Disposable Ambu-type manual resuscitator (bag-valve-mask / BVM) for emergency manual ventilation. Self-inflating bag of 1600 mL (adult) or 500 mL (paediatric). Includes a transparent inflatable mask, a non-rebreathing valve, corrugated tubing and an oxygen reservoir bag. Optional adjustable PEEP valve. 22 mm ISO connection. Indicated for cardiopulmonary arrest, pre-intubation and transport.

What sizes of the XY540 BVM are available?
Adult (1600 mL bag, FiO₂ up to 90% with the reservoir), paediatric (500 mL) and neonatal (250 mL). Correct mask choice is critical: it must cover the nose and mouth without extending past the chin or covering the eyes.
Does the XY540 BVM have a PEEP valve?
It is available with or without an adjustable PEEP valve (5, 7.5 or 10 cmH₂O). PEEP is indicated for alveolar collapse, ARDS or post-thoracic surgery; standard CPR does not require PEEP.
Why use a disposable resuscitator instead of a reusable one?
Reusable resuscitators need high-level disinfection between patients, with a documented risk of pathogen transmission. The disposable XY540 is sterile and single-use, removing the infection risk and the reprocessing time.
