How is the XP35 canister cleaned and disinfected?
The polycarbonate canister is removable and autoclavable at 121 °C. After each use, empty, rinse and disinfect with 0.5% hypochlorite or 2% glutaraldehyde. Replace the hydrophobic bacterial filter every 3 months or as needed.

80 kPa maximum vacuum and ≥30 L/min flow handle adult tracheal suctioning and emergency clearance, while the 1.5 L autoclavable polycarbonate canister and quiet twin-piston motor keep it practical at the bedside, in recovery and in the ambulance. The optional battery gives ~45 minutes for inter-department transfers.
