Is the XY111 mouthpiece available with and without a retention tab?
Yes. We offer a model with a bite tab (more secure under conscious sedation) and a compact model without. Both have a central channel of at least 16 mm for free passage of the endoscope.
Which endoscope diameter is the XY111 compatible with?
The central channel is ≥16 mm, compatible with standard diagnostic endoscopes (8–13 mm outer diameter). For dual-channel or ultrasound endoscopes, ask about the wide-channel version.
Does the XY111 reduce the risk of bite damage to the endoscope?
Yes — that is its main clinical purpose. The mouthpiece stops the jaw closing on the endoscope, protecting both the expensive equipment and the patient from dental injury during the procedure.

Edaochi Medical's endoscopic mouthpiece / bite block (SKU XY111) protects the gastroscope — and the patient's teeth — during upper GI endoscopy.
Protects scope and patient
A ≥16 mm central channel passes standard diagnostic endoscopes (8–13 mm OD) freely while the rigid frame stops the jaw closing on an expensive scope. Soft medical PE, available with a bite tab (more secure under conscious sedation), without a tab (compact), or with an elastic strap. For wide-channel/ultrasound endoscopes, ask about the enlarged-channel version.
