Portable compressor nebuliser for home and clinical aerosol therapy. It produces 0.5–5 µm particles (MMAD) for optimal lung deposition, with ≥8 L/min flow and under 60 dB noise. The complete kit includes an adult mask, a paediatric mask, a mouthpiece, connecting tubing and a medication chamber. Indicated for asthma and COPD, and for nebulising bronchodilators, corticosteroids and mucolytics.

Which medications can be nebulised with the XY242?
It is compatible with salbutamol, ipratropium, budesonide, fluticasone, inhaled tobramycin, nebulised amikacin, N-acetylcysteine and most bronchodilators and corticosteroids indicated for nebulisation. Always follow the prescribing clinician.
Is the XY242 portable for use away from home?
It runs on mains power (220 V / 50 Hz) and is intended mainly for fixed home and clinic use. For use in transport we also offer battery-powered models.
How often should the nebuliser accessories be replaced?
The chamber, mask and tube are disposable and should be replaced after each patient, or every 24–48 hours on the same patient. The compressor lasts several years with regular air-filter maintenance.
