What is the difference between a simple mask and a reservoir (non-rebreather) mask?
A simple mask reaches about 35–60% FiO₂ at 6–10 L/min. For FiO₂ above 60% you need a reservoir (non-rebreather) mask, which adds a reservoir bag to store oxygen between breaths.
At what flow should the XY422 mask be used?
Use a minimum of 5 L/min to prevent CO₂ rebreathing. In adults the usual flow is 6–10 L/min to reach 40–60% oxygen. For children, adjust to size and clinical need.
Is the XY422 mask compatible with home concentrators?
Yes. The universal connector on the 2.1 m corrugated tube fits home and clinical oxygen concentrators as well as hospital wall flowmeters. English-marked versions are available for export.

Edaochi Medical's disposable oxygen face mask (SKU XY422) is the medium-flow step up from a nasal cannula — the simple mask used when a patient needs more oxygen than prongs can give.
Where it fits in oxygen therapy
A simple face mask delivers roughly 35–60% FiO₂ at 5–10 L/min. Always run at least 5 L/min to flush exhaled CO₂ from the mask. When a patient needs higher FiO₂, move up to a non-rebreather (reservoir) mask; when they need less, step down to a nasal cannula.
