Vacuum (negative-pressure) drain for continuous evacuation of post-operative fluids and exudate. Made from soft medical polymer. Includes drain tube, Luer connector, clamp and reservoir. How much fluid can the XY309 system drain?
Depending on the model, the reservoir holds 100 to 400 mL. Empty it when full or every 24 hours.
How is the negative pressure maintained?
The reservoir is compressed to expel air and then released; as it tries to re-expand it generates constant low negative pressure that draws fluid from the wound. Re-compress it each time you empty it. See our drain care guide for measuring and recording output.
Flat or round drain — which should a buyer specify?
Both are surgeon-preference formats we supply: the flat drain sits in planar spaces (typical after mastectomy or abdominoplasty), the round drain in deeper cavities. Specify format, Fr size and whether a trocar is needed for placement — mixed orders covering both formats are common.
Is a trocar included for drain placement?
With-trocar and without-trocar builds are both available. Surgical departments placing drains through a separate stab incision order the trocar version; specify per line when ordering.

Full Description — Negative Pressure Drain
Edaochi Medical's negative-pressure drain (SKU XY309) is the closed-suction surgical drain (Jackson-Pratt / Hemovac style) that pulls post-operative fluid away from the wound to support healing.
Constant gentle suction
Compress the reservoir and release it: as it re-expands it holds a constant low negative pressure that continuously evacuates blood and exudate, reducing seroma/haematoma and dead space. Soft medical PVC with a Luer connector and clamp; reservoirs from 100–400 mL, in white or blue, for thoracic, abdominal and orthopaedic surgery.
Care and recording
