How does the XY538 Flutter PEP device work?

How often should the Flutter PEP be used?
In COPD and bronchiectasis a typical protocol is 2–3 sessions a day of 10–15 minutes, in sets of 10–15 breaths followed by directed coughing. A physiotherapist sets the exact frequency.
Is the Flutter PEP disposable or reusable?
It is single-patient use and must not be shared. The same patient can use it through the prescribed treatment period (usually 1–4 weeks), rinsing it with warm water and mild soap after each session.

How it clears mucus
Exhaling through the device makes an internal steel ball oscillate, creating positive-pressure oscillations (2–35 cmH₂O) that do two things at once: the back-pressure splints the airways open, and the vibration shears mucus off the airway walls so it can be moved centrally and coughed out.
