Overview
Tubing that has to hold pressure is a different product from tubing that carries a drip, and the difference is not visible on a photograph. We supply three pressure classes. The 1200 PSI class is for power injection, in 25 to 180 cm with a female Luer lock at one end and a male rotator at the other so the line does not twist as it is tightened. The 500 PSI class covers monitoring lines in clear DEHP-free PVC with high durometer for accurate readings. The 300 PSI class is the contrast-set family: straight, coiled and Y bodies from 12 to 250 cm, with one or two check valves, in 1.6, 1.8 and 2.8 mm bore. Say what pressure the line sees and we quote the right class rather than the cheapest one.

A rotator end matters more than buyers expect: without it the line twists as the connection is tightened, and a twisted line kinks under pressure.
Questions distributors ask
Why does a monitoring line need high durometer tubing?
Because a soft line expands under the pressure wave and damps the trace. The 500 PSI class uses a stiffer wall so the reading at the transducer reflects the pressure at the catheter rather than the elasticity of the tubing.
Can I use the 500 PSI line for power injection?
No. Power injectors generate far more than 500 PSI and the line is not built for it. If the line sees an injector, specify the 1200 PSI class — this is not a margin-of-safety question, it is a different construction.
What does a coiled body buy me?
Reach without slack. A coiled line extends when the table or the patient moves and retracts afterwards, so there is no loop of tubing hanging where it can be caught. It costs more than straight and is worth it where the geometry moves.
