Injection Caps & Sealing Plugs
Latex-free injection caps with a silicone septum, plus concave stopcock caps and convex tubing plugs. Seals the open end of a line and takes a syringe through the septum without opening the system.
Overview
Three related parts that close the open end of a line. The injection cap carries a latex-free silicone septum: a syringe goes through it to flush the line or draw a sample and the septum reseals, so the system never opens. The concave cap seats onto a stopcock port. The convex plug closes a tubing end. All three are moulded in medical-grade polycarbonate with a silicone septum where the design calls for one, and are supplied as bulk components to set assemblers. The septum is where these parts are won or lost — one that weeps when the syringe is withdrawn gets the whole set changed early.

Questions distributors ask
How many needle penetrations does the septum take?
It is specified per order rather than quoted as a single number, because it depends on needle gauge and on whether your customers use a blunt cannula or a needle. Tell us the expected access pattern and we match the septum durometer and thickness to it.
Is the tinted septum a different material?
No — same silicone, pigmented. Wards use the tint to tell a sealed line from one in use at a glance. It costs the same as clear.
Can you supply these already fitted to our stopcocks?
Yes. If you already buy stopcocks or manifolds from this line we can ship them capped, which saves your assembler a handling step. Say so when you quote.
