Guidewire Accessories — Torque Devices, Insertion Tools & Straighteners
Torque devices, guidewire insertion tools, advancers, straighteners, tip protectors, holders and dispensers. The handling set that ships alongside a wire.
Overview
Every guidewire ships with parts that have nothing to do with the wire itself and everything to do with getting it where it needs to go. The torque device grips the wire so it can be steered; the insertion tool straightens a J tip so it enters a hub; the advancer moves the wire without the operator regripping it; the straightener, tip protector, holder and dispenser handle it in the package and on the table. We mould the whole set, which is the point — a distributor assembling a wire kit otherwise sources six small parts from different places. Specify the wire diameter range and we build the gripping parts to it.

Questions distributors ask
Can you supply the whole handling set matched to one wire?
Yes, and that is the usual reason buyers come to this page. Give us the wire diameter range and we build the torque device, insertion tool and advancer to grip it consistently, so the set works together rather than being six parts that happen to be in the same pouch.
Do you supply the guidewires themselves?
Yes — PTFE-coated, hydrophilic, nitinol and stainless bodies across a wide diameter and length range, including striped wires for urology. This page covers the handling accessories; ask us for the wire specification separately and we will quote both.
Does the torque device fit any wire?
No. A torque device that grips a 0.035" wire will slip on a 0.018" one, and slipping mid-procedure is exactly the failure nobody tolerates. State your range.
