The access kit opens the transpedicular track to the vertebral body — the channel the kyphoplasty balloon and cement injector use afterwards. Made in the two techniques that divide spine surgeons: sequential (2.5/3.0) opens stepwise with progressive dilatation, forgives in hard bone and allows trajectory correction between steps; single-puncture (3.6/4.2) enters directly at working calibre and is faster in practised hands. Unilateral or bilateral configuration by approach — the bilateral brings the duplicated instrument set for both pedicles. Trocar tip designed to bite cortical bone without skating, depth markings and rotation handles. Unilateral or bilateral?
By approach: classic kyphoplasty is bipedicular (one balloon per side) and asks for the bilateral kit; unilateral vertebroplasty with adequate trajectory works with one. The bilateral brings the complete duplicated set — not two loose references.
