High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) System
SKU: XY-HF60 | Sistema de Cánula Nasal de Alto Flujo (HFNC)
High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy system for hypoxaemic respiratory failure in the ICU, emergency department and respiratory care. It delivers a high flow of heated, humidified gas — up to 60 L/min in adults — with a FiO₂ regulated independently of flow. The nasal cannula and heated circuit are single-use, made of flexible medical PVC, latex-free, with soft prongs in neonatal, paediatric and adult (S/M/L) sizes. Active heated humidification prevents dryness and mucociliary damage at high flows. Consumables sterilised with ethylene oxide (EO).

Frequently Asked Questions — High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) System
What flow and FiO₂ does the HFNC system deliver?
In adults the flow typically reaches up to 60 L/min and the FiO₂ is regulated independently, from 21 % up to close to 100 %. Initial parameters and adjustments are set by the clinician according to the patient's response (saturation, ROX index and work of breathing).
Are the cannula and circuit single-use?
Yes. The nasal cannula and heated circuit are single-use, per-patient consumables sterilised with ethylene oxide (EO). The high-flow device is the durable component. Cannulas are available in neonatal, paediatric and adult (S/M/L) sizes.
What high-flow cannula size should I choose?
Choose the prong size that occupies at most half of the nostril, to allow the system's necessary leak. Using the correct size is key to efficacy and to avoiding pressure injuries. Neonatal, paediatric and adult sizes are available.
Do you offer samples and private label (OEM)?
Yes. We send samples for evaluation and offer a private-label (OEM) option with CE / ISO 13485 documentation for medical-device registration. Box price and MOQ quote on WhatsApp in under 24 hours.

Full Description — High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) System
High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy has become one of the fastest-growing oxygen-delivery modalities in critical and respiratory care. The Edaochi HFNC system combines a high-flow device with single-use, heated and humidified consumables to deliver oxygen far more comfortably and effectively than a conventional cannula or mask.
How HFNC works
Unlike a standard nasal cannula limited to 1–6 L/min, the HFNC system delivers up to 60 L/min in adults, with a FiO₂ that is set independently of flow. The high flow washes CO₂ from the nasopharyngeal dead space, generates a small positive airway pressure (a light CPAP-like effect) and meets the patient's full inspiratory demand, keeping the delivered FiO₂ stable and predictable.
Heated, humidified gas
At high flows, unconditioned gas would dry and damage the airway mucosa. The system actively heats and humidifies the gas (approximately 31–37 °C), which is what makes high flow tolerable — patients can talk, eat and clear secretions during therapy.
Single-use consumables, full size range
The nasal cannula and heated circuit are single-use and per-patient, eliminating cross-contamination. Soft prongs come in neonatal, paediatric and adult (S/M/L) sizes; the prongs should occlude no more than about half the nostril to allow the necessary leak. All consumables are latex-free medical PVC, EO-sterilised with a lot indicator.
Clinical applications
HFNC is used in acute hypoxaemic respiratory failure (e.g. pneumonia), post-extubation support in at-risk patients, pre-oxygenation before intubation, selected COPD, and paediatric/neonatal care with size-specific cannulas. Parameters and monitoring (ROX index, saturation, work of breathing) are always clinical.
